The Institute of Public Health has responded to the Department for Communities Consultation on a new Strategy for Sport and Physical Activity for Northern Ireland.

The strategy aims to provide a framework for a cross-departmental approach to promoting participation and excellence in sport and physical activity. IPH emphasised the importance of increasing activity levels and opportunities in everyday life for all age groups and abilities, particularly those cohorts who are most at risk from the health impacts of inactivity such as older people and those with disabilities.
