The World Cancer Third Expert Report has released their Third Expert Report on cancer prevention (WCRF). The report provides evidence relating to reducing the risk of cancer risk through changing dietary patterns, reducing alcohol consumption, increasing physical activity and achieving and maintaining a healthy body weight.
The report highlights the necessity for a whole-of-government/societal approach creating environments for people and communities to guide the reduction of cancer risk exposure. A framework type approach is suggested as a useful method for policymakers with reference to WCRF’s NOURISHING framework and the broader framework Driving action to prevent cancer and other NCDs.
