A workshop on food poverty on the island of Ireland, hosted by Safefood and the Food Standards Agency in Northern Ireland will take place on September 18, 2018. Starting at 10am, the event will take place at NICVA Centre, 61 Duncairn Gardens, Belfast.
Titled “Food for thought – challenges & new approaches to addressing food poverty”, the event will focus on new insights, the latest research and exploring solutions in tackling inequality and food poverty. In particular, discussion will involve social supermarkets, the challenges facing those in emergency accommodation and the importance of collaboration on the island of Ireland in combating food poverty.
