A new report by the Institute of Public Health for the Department of Health to inform the development of a National Adult Safeguarding Policy for the health and social care sector has been published.

The Institute undertook a series of focus group consultations with health and social care service users on behalf of the Department to contribute to the development of a new policy for the sector.

A series of focus groups was held all around Ireland with people who use health and social care services, including nursing home residents and people with long term health conditions, to get their views on adult safeguarding practices.
