Northern Ireland Environment Link (NIEL) launched a report on sustainable transport at their AGM on 24 June.  The report highlights and analyses the important issues that should be addressed in the upcoming reviews of transport policy ang brings together papers from a wide range of individuals and organisations with an interest in transport issues. 

How transport influences health is highlighted in an article from IPH Public Health Development Officer Claire Higgins.  Transport and public health highlights how transport policies can contribute to obesity,  affect air quality, facilitate social connections and influence climate change.  The impact of transport on health inequalities is also detailed.
