The Irish Forum for Global Health (IFGH) and the Institute of Public Health in Ireland are hosting the launch in Ireland of ‘The Global Health Watch – An Alternative World Health Report’. 

The report aims to capture the imagination of the broader health professional community and the public at large and is explicit about the social and political causes of ill health and poverty. As a civil society report, it comments on the capability and effectiveness of those agencies charged with protecting and promoting health. 

Speakers will include Mike Rowson, a  managing editor of the report and former Executive Director of Medact, a United Kingdom-based global health charity, undertaking education, research, and advocacy on conflict, poverty and the environment.

The launch will take place in Belfast on Wednesday 30th November 2005 from 12-2pm at the Mount Conference Centre.
