Strengthening Public Health Intelligence
The availability of up-to-date and accessible information is central to the development of effective policy and practice. This strand of IPH work includes new knowledge generated through research, experience and monitoring and surveillance programmes.

Capacity Building
The aim of IPH's capacity building work is to support individuals, organisations and processes involved in improving public health on the island.  This work includes strengthening partnerships, development of health impact assessment and an all island leadership programme.

Policy and Programme Development, and Evaluation
Policy and programme development and evaluation includes supporting the implementation of a range of policies aimed at tackling health inequalities and the establishment of a new Public Health Policy Centre.
