IPH response to the consultation on fortification of flour with folic acid in Northern Ireland
In August 2023 the Institute responded to the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) consultation on Northern Ireland’s ‘Bread and Flour’ regulations.
The consultation followed an announcement in 2021 by the the UK government to fortify flour with folic acid.
